CEED Centralized Admission Counselling 2026

Single Window Allotment

Admission into participating premier universities and colleges based on CEED 2026 merit ranks is administered through centralized single-window counselling. Conducted by IIT Bombay & Participating Institutions Admissions Committee, the process ensures transparent merit seat distribution across All India and State quotas.

6 Stages of the Centralized Counselling Process

1. Online Registration

Authenticate using your CEED Roll Number and Application ID. Enter contact details and pay the non-refundable registration fee.

2. Choice Filling

Select programs and colleges in strict descending order of preference. Fill maximum available choices without numerical limit to maximize admission probabilities.

3. Choice Locking

Lock choices before the deadline. Unlocked choices automatically lock at the cutoff time based on the last saved preferences.

4. Seat Allotment

Merit algorithm evaluates rank, category reservation, home state quota, and filled preferences to allocate a seat in each round.

5. Willingness Option

Choose Freeze (confirm & exit), Float (upgrade anywhere), or Slide (upgrade within same college).

6. Document Verification

Upload certificates online and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). Complete physical reporting at the final allotted college.

Mandatory Documents Required for Verification

  • Class 10 Certificate & Marksheet: Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Class 12 Qualifying Examination Marksheet: Eligibility proof.
  • CEED Rank Card / Scorecard 2026.
  • CEED Admit Card (Hall Ticket).
  • Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
  • Category / Caste Certificate: Valid OBC-NCL / EWS issued in current FY.
  • PwD Certificate: Issued by authorized Medical Board.
  • State Domicile / Nativity Certificate.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate by registered practitioner.
  • Passport Size Photographs (at least 6 copies).

What is the difference between Freeze, Float, and Slide options?
Freeze means you accept the allotted seat and exit further rounds. Float means you accept the allotted seat but wish to be considered for a higher-preference branch or institute in subsequent rounds. Slide means you accept the allotted seat but wish to upgrade to a higher-preference branch within the same institute.
What documents are mandatory for CEED Counselling document verification?
Mandatory documents include: 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and passing certificates, CEED Rank Card / Scorecard, Admit Card, Category/Caste Certificate (if applicable, with valid financial year NCL status), State Domicile Certificate, Medical Fitness Certificate, and Passport-size photographs.
What happens if I do not pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)?
Failure to deposit the Seat Acceptance Fee before the round deadline leads to automatic forfeiture of the provisionally allotted seat, and the candidate is generally disqualified from subsequent normal rounds.
